may placed at the end of the paper if it fits on that last page.
- Title Works Cited—no quotation marks, do not
underline, no bold face font
- Entries on Works Cited list are listed in
alphabetical order by author, author last name first. If there is not an
author, entries will be listed by the title in alphabetical order,
excluding ÒaÓ ÒanÓ or Òthe.Ó
- Authors:
- Last name first
- More than one author list with first author in
order they appear on work last name first; list rest of the authors first
name first, separated with commas.
- Place a period after the authorÕs name
- If work has more than 3 authors, list in alphabetical
order with first author listed on work followed with Òet. alÓ meaning Òand
others.Ó Followed with a period
- Page Format
- Double spaced with a hanging indent (use Format
feature in Word)
- DO NOT number entries
- Use Hacker handbook as your guide
Web Pages:
- Author last name first, if there is an author
- Name of institution or organization if know
- Provide date of copyright or publication or last date
updated (backtrack to .edu or .org. or .gov –to the home page)
- Provide URL—webÕs address, found on the bottom
of your printout.
- Confused? Provide enough information so that reader
or next user can locate the page, that is provide a accurate URL.
