Thanks for joining me today in Colorado. Research in my lab, located in the new $42 million Ross Hall Science Complex at UNC (see campus videos), involves functional development of flight in Jamaican (Artibeus jamaicensis, right, video clip) and short-tailed (Carollia perspicillata, left) fruit bats  as well as descriptive studies of skeletogenesis in micro- and megachiropterans. Field work includes community and population dynamics, foraging and roosting ecology, and water resource use by Coloradan bat species. I also do some field work in the Caribbean islands. Please click on the research interest button for more detailed information.
