UNC Biology Student Organizations (BSO)

The goals of the Biology Student Organizations (BSO) are to promote and encourage interactions and connections among biology students and to facilitate relationships between students and faculty, the University of Northern Colorado, and the greater Greeley community.  A major emphasis of the BSO is to promote discovery and experiences in the biological sciences outside the classroom, to further student intellectual development, and to advance research and social opportunities for building greater student appreciation of the life sciences in all its forms.  The BSOs listed below are owned and governed by UNC biology students.  Although each BSO will maintain some level of autonomy, these organizations are strongly encouraged to work together to promote the life sciences to all biology majors.  To this end the organizations are strongly encouraged to have at least one combined social event per year, and to work together for the greater good of the UNC biology program. Membership in one or both of these BSOs is strongly encouraged for all biology majors.
