I am a doctoral student in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. As an undergraduate, I majored in Liberal Studies with a minor in Sociology, and thereafter, I completed a Masters in Sociology, which led to my decision to pursue Education as a career. Two Ph.D. programs accepted me; neither one of the programs excited me as much as when I was accepted into the Ed.D. program at USC. I am proud to be a Trojan! I am student oriented and interested in culturally diverse and special populations at the university level. My work experience includes writing consultant, academic advisor, English TA, producer of two 2-act plays, and GA for probation and disqualified students. At least 5 days a week, I train for triathlons, learn new theory, read, and write. Documentary films, coffee houses, and eclectic music take up the rest of my time.

I am a graduate student majoring in philosophy at California State University, Los Angeles. Educated in the British Colony of Hong Kong and the United States, I have an abiding interest in topics in modern social and political philosophy, particularly those related to issues of modernity vs. postmodernity and postcolonial theory. I am currently completing my thesis on the critical articulation of the philosophy of Jurgen Habermas and Emmanuel Levinas. When not reading philosophy (which is a good chunk of my somber existence), I try very hard, but usually to no avail, to maintain a perfect balance of the mind, heart, intuition, body and, above all, the highest self in life.

I'm a third-year undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, pursuing an English Writing and Communication degree. When I'm not reading, writing, or editing, I enjoy theater, playing my guitar, and water sports of all kinds (maybe that's because I'm a pisces?) Currently, I'm studying abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia - I'm supposedly researching my Honors Thesis, a novel about living abroad. I plan to finish up in June and return home to the Boston area for my senior year.

I am an Associate Professor of English at the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to having the pleasure of advising the student editors of AE Extra, I enjoy teaching and researching Victorian Literature, Composition Theory, the Bronte Sisters, and Charles Dickens. I also serve as a Senior Editor of Academic Exchange Quarterly.

As a Senior Editor, I am especially interested in receiving well-written student essays focusing on education issues from the student's point of view. These essays will be considered for publication in AEQ, the parent journal. Please send them to me as an e-mail or Word attachment.

I am a Senior Lecturer specialising in Electronic Communication and in Design in the Architecture program in the University of Newcastle, Australia, and Assistant Dean - Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Design. My research has concentrated on approrpiate educational methods for the professions, and in particular, Integrated Problem Based Learning.

I am Director of Interdisciplinary Programs for the Ahmanson Humanities Initiative at USC, Office of the Dean. My position requires me to support, manage and organize faculty funding from a major endowment provided by The Ahmanson Foundation. In addition to editing this publication I enjoy reading, writing and traveling to exotic locales; however, I rarely leave for too long, because the mere idea of leaving my cat behind breaks my heart.
