Editor-in-Chief: Elizabeth
K. Haller
Kent State University
I am a teaching fellow pursuing my doctorate degree in Nineteenth-Century
British Literature at Kent State University. I received my MA in English
Language and Literature from Central Michigan University (CMU) in August
2003 after completing my thesis in Victorian Literature on the novels
of Charlotte Bronte. From 2002--2005, I taught both Freshman Composition
and Advanced Composition courses at CMU. I completed my undergraduate
work in English with a minor in History from the University of Northern
Colorado in 1999. I earned my Associate of Arts Degree from Muskegon
Community College in 1989. While earning my AA degree, I served as
a freelance writer for The Muskegon Chronicle, The
Detroit News, and The Detroit Free Press, with
six articles picked up by the Associated Press. In 2001 I received
an academic honor and award for my article "Know Your Enemy: a
Brief History of New Criticism." I have published literary research
and criticism including my article titled "Guise and the Act of
Concealment in Jane Eyre" published in the November 2003
edition of Bronte Studies. I am an active member of Sigma Tau
Delta, Phi Alpha Theta, MLA and other scholarly organizations.

Susan Jones
Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU)
Dr. Susan Jones is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education.
She was Co-Principal Investigator of the $1.5 million dollar U.S. Department
of Education
grant, "Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology" (PT3).
Dr. Jones was also responsible for overseeing the instructional design
process of SMSU's eHighSchool, which provides proximity-based distance
learning opportunities to rural schools in Missouri.
Dr. Jones has over fourteen years of combined teaching experience
within the areas of Pre-K and elementary school; University and college
level; and within private and governmental institutions. She has worked
with a major multimedia software development company in curriculum
design and development for K-12. She has presented and participated
in developing seminars for national and international audiences and
continues to do so.
Dr. Jones' primary research interest is effective technology integration
in learning, although her area of expertise focuses on the application
of specific reconfiguration guidelines that must be utilized in order
to modify (redesign) traditional courses to be transported into any
delivery system. She was recently awarded a College Teaching Award
and a College Research Award. Dr. Jones is currently in the process
of writing a technology text with one of the top educational publishing
companies.

Lester
University of Southern California
I am a doctoral student at the Rossier School of Education
studying Higher Education. I earned a Master's degree from Rossier
in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs and a Bachelor's
degree
in English and Women's Studies from the University of Michigan. After
a two-year tenure at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, I joined
the Transfer and Retention of Urban Community College Students (TRUCCS)
and the Kamehameha projects as a Research Assistant. In addition to
my responsibilities on the TRUCCS and Kamehameha projects, I am actively
involved in several graduate student organizations. In my free time,
I like to hike, read, and play video games.
Faculty Advisor to AE Extra: Dr.
Ben Varner
University of Northern Colorado
I am a Professor of English at the University of Northern Colorado.
In addition to having the pleasure of advising the student editors of
AE Extra, I enjoy teaching and researching Victorian Literature, Composition
Theory, the Bronte Sisters, and Charles Dickens. I also serve as an
Executive Editor for Academic
Exchange Quarterly.

University of Northern Colorado
I earned an Associate degree in Computer Science from Aims Community College. I then earned a B.S. in Mathematics with an emphasis in Computer Science from the College of Arts and Sciences and a minor in Computer Information Systems from the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado. I then served as the Network Administrator for the College of Arts and Sciences for ten years. Currently I am an Application Server Manager for Client Services in Information Technology at the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to UNC I owned my own construction company for fifteen years building custom homes in the surrounding area.
