A New Day Dawning

The wall that separates us
The barrier that limits us...
High mountains of misunderstandings
Differences we can not appreciate
Customs foreign to our way of life
New ideals...new religions All these things make us believe
That we are all so different
Yet over the wall
The barrier disappears
A new day dawns
A day of magnificent enlightenment
Few people experienced this joyous sun
For the climb over the wall
It is long and hard
Few can endure the climb
The mountain climbers who triumph
Souls cry out in a peace giving love
A love that allows one brother
To love another brother far, far away
In foreign lands and waters Until there is no more war!
