Welcome to a new year of Academic Exchange Extra. To kick things off, the first issue of 2009 is devoted to an e-book written by Dan Lukiv titled AN INTRODUCTORY CREATIVE WRITING PROGRAM (MONOGRAPH NUMBER TWO). According to Lukiv:
I'm excited about the e-book. It could be used by teachers at many levels. College and university instructors and professors could offer the course as 6 credits at the second-year level. Even high school English and creative writing teachers may find the work useful. For example, the British Columbia Ministry of Education endorses a Writing 12 (creative writing) course that covers much of what my An Introductory Creative Writing Program covers. I invite teachers to "let students loose" with the program, and to mark according to student ability and course expectation.
